Who we are

Last updated:

Transformation Trust is an independent information portal about gambling harm support for young people, parents and schools. We write guides and articles to help people in the UK understand gambling harm, recognise when it's affecting someone they care about, and find practical support and tools.

What this site covers

We focus on how gambling harm reaches young people and families, what it looks like, and what can be done about it. Our guides explain the warning signs, the tools available to set limits or take a break, how to talk to a young person about gambling, and where to get help when it matters.

We cover practical strategies like blocking gambling sites on a young person's device, how self-exclusion works to keep people out of gambling sites, and why certain forms of gambling – like skin betting on video games – can be particularly risky for young players. We also explain what GAMSTOP is and how it protects young people from gambling sites.

Who we're here for

This site is for young people worried about their own gambling, parents and carers spotting signs of harm in someone close to them, and professionals in schools and youth services looking for clear information to share.

People come here when they're concerned, confused or in crisis. They need straightforward answers fast – not jargon, not sales talk, just facts that help them understand what's happening and what to do next.

How we make our guides

Every guide starts with the questions people actually search for when they're worried about gambling harm. We research public sources – health organisations, the national gambling regulator, support services – to make sure the information is accurate. We write in plain language so anyone can understand it, whether they know nothing about gambling or they're already dealing with its effects.

When something changes – a new tool becomes available, guidance from support organisations shifts – we update the guides to keep them current.

What we don't do

We don't give personal advice. We don't sell anything or take payment from any organisation. We don't rank support services or make claims about which one is "best" – different services work for different people, and we help you find what matches your situation.

Our guides are about gambling harm itself and the genuine tools available to everyone. We're not here to promote any particular service or product.
