Editorial policy

Last updated:

Transformation Trust publishes information to help young people, parents and schools understand gambling harm and find support. This policy explains how we choose topics, research them and keep our content accurate and honest.

Topics we cover

We write about questions people ask when they are worried about their own gambling or someone else's. These might be questions about what gambling harm looks like, how to talk about it, what tools exist to manage it, or where to find help. We listen to readers and take suggestions for new topics that matter to them.

How we research

Our guides are based on information from official public-body sources, recognised organisations working in gambling support, and established reference works. We check facts against more than one source where we can. Each article lists the sources we used, so you can read further if you want to.

How we write

We use plain language and explain terms when we introduce them. We do not exaggerate what tools can do or promise results we cannot guarantee. We are honest about what we know and what remains uncertain. Our writing is grounded in the real situations readers face.

Independence

No one pays to have their topic placed on this site, and no rankings are sponsored. We do not sell anything to you. The editorial team decides what is published based on what will help readers, not on any outside pressure.

Updates and corrections

We review our guides when something changes in the world they describe. If you spot an error or something that is out of date, write to [email protected] and we will put it right as soon as we can.

Suggest a topic

If there is something about gambling harm or support that you think we should cover, let us know. Email [email protected] with your idea and tell us why it matters to you.

All our content about gambling is written with safer gambling in mind. We are 18+.
