WorkReady is a fully funded workshop developed by KPMG and The Talent Foundry. The workshop will offer the opportunity for students to think about how they would utilise the latest cutting-edge technologies in a collaborative problem-solving challenge, based on real life KPMG client briefs.
Through their participation in the workshop, students will develop core transferrable skills including:
listening, presenting, problem solving, creativity, staying positive, aiming high, leadership and teamwork.
The workshops will be hosted at the school and will provide the students with an important insight into the world of work, and the impact that technology is having on the workplace, by engaging with employers and exploring innovative technologies.
Sixth form mentors:
We are offering Year 12 and 13 students who are interested in the tech industry, or want to boost their CV, the chance to mentor Key Stage 3 students throughout the workshop.
As a sixth form mentor, they will support and encourage younger students in the workshop. In turn, they will benefit through developing a number of core transferrable skills, including leadership, teamwork, resilience, presenting, creativity and problem solving. It could also provide a fantastic opportunity for them to engage with corporate volunteers and employees in the industry who may be supporting the workshop. Through the personal experiences of these volunteers, sixth formers can gain valuable insight into the world of work, boost their confidence and help inspire the younger students.
You can sign your sixth form students up to this opportunity through the booking form.
