Tech We Can is a set of free lesson plans designed to be taught to both boys and girls. Originally set up to be taught by teachers in the classroom but now available to parents and carers for teaching at home.
The lessons are all mapped to the National Curriculum and are structured, fun learning packs all about technology careers and seeing the use of technology in everyday lives. #TechWeCan learning packs are now also available online for parents and carers to teach young people about tech careers at home. On this page you will find a variety of freely accessible educational resources from The Talent Foundry and our partners, which can be shared with parents, carers, or students themselves. LifeSkills has recently launched new content to support students looking for work experience over the summer, and beyond, who may find it harder to access such opportunities at the moment. The content helps students get remote work experience from home by using the LifeSkills virtual work experience simulation tool, viewing a broad range of industry films and completing interactive worksheets.

The Powering Transformation: The Big Idea project is a free downloadable resource created by The Talent Foundry with Dell for educators, parents and carers.
The project is fun and engaging and will support the independent learning of students by encouraging them to develop their factual knowledge, self-discipline, attitudes to learning and problem solving skills.
Students will be encouraged to develop their knowledge of:
Social issues in their community
Business studies and business plans

The Talent Foundry and KPMG are pleased to offer educators, parents and carers access to the KPMG WorkReady project!
As a business, KPMG uses technology to solve problems on a daily basis and this will only evolve as children reach working age. This project aims to encourage children to think about the role of technology in the future world of work through a range of fun and insightful activities.
These resources have been adapted from the existing KPMG WorkReady programme which has been running in schools. They can be downloaded for use across a wide range of secondary-level age groups and can be adapted for differing abilities.

During lockdown, a series of free weekly live lessons were held every Tuesday to support teachers, parents and carers with home-schooling. Each free lesson for students (aged 10-13 years old) had a different theme and aimed to inspire children to consider a future career in technology.
The resources are still available to watch on-demand. Each lesson is approximately 20 - 30 minutes long, and are followed by a challenge to complete in the hour or so after the lesson. These lessons are fun and informative and look at the use of technology in our everyday lives and link into future career paths for the students, with topics covered ranging from manufacturing & engineering, to retail, food and the environment.

The James Dyson Foundation has added a range of new, free, downloadable resources to support home schooling requirements at the current time:
Engineering Solutions: Air Pollution – This resource has been designed as a student pack to support both Science and Design & Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4. It aims to help students understand how engineering can solve global problems, focusing on the problem of air pollution. Through creative activities, videos and worksheets they will learn what air pollution is, analyse air pollution data and learn how the Dyson Pure Cool™ purifying fan works as a solution to indoor air pollution.
Challenge Cards – 44 simple STEM challenges that are perfect for all age groups and easy to complete at home.
The Engineering Box – Ideal for secondary schools, students take apart a Dyson machine, identifying design clues, to understand the engineering thinking behind how – and why – it works. It's ideally suited to Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, but can be adapted for any classroom.
Online workshops – The James Dyson Foundation has a pre-recorded prototyping activity for Key Stage 3 students which consists of a 20-minute presentation about Dyson and their design process. This is followed by a hands-on activity that students can work on at home. Please get in touch if you would like to use this.
Dream Bigger is a fully funded programme focused on developing transferrable entrepreneurial skills in 16-18 year old females across the UK.
The aim is to drive confidence in preparation for the future world of work and impact the percentage of women who intend to start and actually start a business.
